Marine Aluminium / Uptime International built our first offshore walk to work gangway in 1979.
There will be several posts from our history, arrangements and contests throughout 2019 to celebrate our 40-year anniversary. Please follow us on our homepage, LinkedIn or facebook to join our celebration.
Uptime 40 year anniversary logo
Marine Aluminium and Uptime International have developed and delivered motion compensated gangways since 1979.
All this thanks to our valued staff, reliable suppliers, customers appreciating quality products and lots of support from family and friends.
We are proud and humble to announce that we in our 40th anniversary year are nominated for the Offshore Support Journal award: “Offshore Renewables Award 2019”
“Uptime have delivered gangways since 1979 and has developed a next generation 30m gangway. Features include: autonomous landing, autonomous trolley transfer and 4 ton crane function. These capabilities significantly increase operability and safety and simulations show that an SOV with a 30m gangway can do safe transfers in up to 5m Hs. The gangway will be installed on a new Bernhard Schulte Offshore vessel being chartered by General Electric. The Island Offshore vessel Island Clipper, chartered by Equinor, will also have the new gangway installed.”
We will highly appreciate it if you can consider our nomination against our two competitors and vote for the one that you think deserve this prize.
